Matson Tea is a proudly independent tea company, established in 2019 as a subsidiary of the legacy enterprise Mattoo Sons—a name synonymous with quality tea trading in Jammu & Kashmir since 1968. From humble beginnings as commission agents in a single store in Maharaj Gunj, Mattoo Sons grew to become one of the valley’s most trusted suppliers of green and black tea. Building on this rich heritage, Matson Tea was born to bring innovation, authenticity, and excellence to the modern tea landscape. Backed by over five decades of expertise, Matson Tea has emerged as a distinguished brand, serving a diverse range of sectors including B2B, modern trade, corporate offices, and the hospitality industry. Our flagship products—Kashmiri Kehwa and Noon Chai—have earned widespread recognition and remain our most cherished offerings. As a regional leader in premium tea supply, we have continually adapted to evolving consumer preferences. Matson was the first company in the Kashmir valley to pioneer the blending of herbal teas, introducing unique flavors that honor tradition while embracing innovation. With a vision to make authentic Kashmiri tea culture a global experience, Matson Tea has expanded its footprint internationally—delivering premium teas to customers in the UAE, USA, Mexico, Europe, and Africa. Today, as we embark on our next chapter, we are building a robust e-commerce platform to bring the rich taste, cultural heritage, and artisanal craftsmanship of Matson Tea to customers across the globe—one cup at a time.
